March 03, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 07:41 am IST - NEW DELHI:

A Delhi court on Monday granted bail to meat exporter Moin Qureshi and his employee Aditya Sharma in a case filed by the Income Tax Department for allegedly not disclosing income of about Rs. 20 crore.

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Devendra Kumar Sharma granted bail to the two accused subject to furnishing a bond of Rs. 50,000 each with one surety of a like amount.

The court also asked them not to leave the country without its permission.

The court had last month summoned the two accused, taking cognisance of the complaint filed by the department in the matter. Earlier, they appeared before the court on a summons by the court.

The court later fixed April 29 as the date for recording of pre-charge evidence in the case.

The Income Tax Department has filed the complaint under various provisions of the Income Tax Act for allegedly making false statement and the Indian Penal Code for allegedly entering into a criminal conspiracy and giving or fabricating false evidence in a judicial proceeding.
