Persian Studies Department to promote India, Iran relations

Delhi University’s Department of Persian Studies, in association with the International Council for Cultural Relations, will act as the nodal agency for strengthening cultural ties between Iran and India.

The Department has been made in-charge of promoting culture between the two nations at a three day-conference in Tehran from May 23. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the conference during his visit to Iran.

Titled “India-Iran, Two Great Civilizations: Retrospect and Prospect”, the conference will focus on the development and journey of Persian literature, history and arts and culture in both the countries.
