Monitoring system for maternal care set up in Arunchal

: The health sector in Arunachal Pradesh received a major boost on Friday with the inauguration of the Mother and Child Tracking System (MCTS) call centre by State Health and Family Welfare Minister Rajesh Tacho here.

The objective of setting up of the MCTS call centre is to undertake case specific monitoring to ensure complete Antenatal Care (ANC) services, delivery services and postnatal Care (PNC) services and monitoring of full Immunization services to pregnant woman and child through the database collected from national health mission (NHM) web portal.

Through a dedicated five-seat MCTS call centre, which is operationally managed by Piramal Swasthya, the aim is to have an effective monitoring system for high risk pregnant women and low weight birth babies. PTI
