A 25-year-old woman was allegedly attacked with a kitchen knife by her brother-in-law in south-east Delhi’s Sarai Jullena on Friday.
Sumesh allegedly slit Rashmi’s throat with the knife, after which he fled. He, however, got injured while jumping from the rooftop of his house to another building.
Preliminary investigation suggests that the victim and the accused have an affair, and Sumesh was angry that Rashmi was to leave for Bihar with her husband Rajesh on Friday. A case has been registered under Section 307 (attempt to murder) of the IPC.
