Interim bail of Ajay Chautala extended

The Delhi High Court has extended the interim bail of Ajay Chautala, sentenced to 10-year prison term along with his father and former Haryana Chief Minister O. P. Chautala in a teachers’ recruitment scam case.

Justice Siddharth Mridul extended till February 2, the suspension of Ajay’s sentence after the CBI sought more time to furnish a report on his health from a medical board set up by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).

Meanwhile, senior advocate Hariharan informed the court that the medical board has examined his client and a report is awaited.

The court on December 19, last year had asked the AIIMS Director to constitute a medical board and submit a report on the health condition of Mr. Chautala’s son.-PTI
