Celebrating the contribution by various gharanas over centuries, the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) has recorded 25 great masters to take forward their legacy.
As part of this initiative, the IGNCA on Wednesday released DVDs of renowned artistes like Pandit Mani Prasad and Pandit Dalchand Sharma. The event was followed by performances by the artistes. Pandit Mani Prasad, a well-known exponent of khayal style of singing, while Pandit Dalchand Sharma, one of the greatest proponents of pakhawaj , is currently teaching at DU’s Faculty of Fine Arts and Music.
