Hyatt to open three more hotels in India

American hospitality chain Hyatt on Saturday said it would launch three more hotel properties in the country this fiscal as part of its expansion plans. This was announced by Kurt Straub, Hyatt India Consultancy Vice-President (Operations), here.

The company will open Hyatt Place at Hyderabad, Rameswaram and Andaz at Delhi, he said.

He further said the company has also plans to open Grand Hyatt at Kochi which will take time.

“I think we have the biggest number of hotels here in a single country outside the United States. At present, we have 24 properties in India and by end of this financial year, we will have 27,” Mr Straub said.

Hyatt also announced to open Hyatt Regency here which is the first Hyatt branded hotel in Chandigarh.

“We are delighted to welcome the first Hyatt branded hotel to the beautifully planned city of Chandigarh,” said Mr Straub, adding that Hyatt would run Chandigarh hotel on management contract basis.

Centrally located, Hyatt Regency is spread over five acres of land with capacity of 211 guest rooms including 25 suites.-- PTI
