Fog, humid weather and drizzle played spoilsport in the national capital on the day of the full dress rehearsal for Republic Day celebrations, even as poor visibility hit train services.

The minimum temperature in the city settled at 9.4 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal, a MeT department official said.

Around 11 am, the city received drizzle after traces of rainfall was reported overnight, he said.

The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 21 degrees Celsius.

“The relative humidity level recorded at 8:30 am was 84 per cent while the visibility dropped to 800 m,” the weatherman said.

At 6 am, as many as 16 north-bound trains stood cancelled. Twenty three trains were running late while two were rescheduled, a senior railway ministry official said.

On Monday, the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 25.2 and 5.9 degrees Celsius, respectively.
