Parents of six-year-old Divyansh Kakrora, who have been claiming that their child had no mental ailment, on Tuesday said that the child’s doctor has also confirmed the same to the police.

The Delhi police however refused to confirm the fact. On being asked about the same, a senior officer from the South Delhi district, said that they have not received any such report so far. Divyansh’s father Ramheet Meena told The Hindu , “My child was absolutely fine, he had no mental illness. He was just a hyperactive child and being hyperactive is not an illness. This fact has been confirmed to the police by my son’s doctor as well.”

“My son was receiving counselling under a senior doctor in the paediatrics department at AIIMS and the doctor knows his condition well. She knows that he was not mentally unwell, this is what I have been claiming all this while,” he added.
