The Delhi Metro Commuters Association (DMCA) on Tuesday observed a “Boycott Day” in more than 50 Metro stations across the city, to protest against the Metro fare hike.

“The appeal for the boycott was made in more than 50 Metro stations. Commuters pro-actively approached the DMCA activists to tie black bands on their arms in protest against the fare hike” the DMCA said. They also claimed that some of the activists were also detained at Jahangirpuri and Shahdipur metro stations.
