The Delhi police have turned down the request of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to video record the questioning session, in the case of alleged assault of Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash, scheduled at his camp office located in Civil Lines area, on Thursday.

Mr. Kejriwal, in his reply to a notice served by the Delhi Police under CrPC 160, agreed to join the investigation in the alleged assault case. However, he requested a change in time pertaining to prior commitments.

In a letter to the Delhi Police, Mr. Kejriwal had requested to video record the entire proceedings. The letter reads, “Due to some prior commitments, I will not be able to join the investigation at 11 a.m. I would request you to kindly defer the time on the same day at 5 p.m. at my camp office.” It reads, “I wish to video record the entire proceedings during the investigation...”

Harendra Singh, Additional DCP (North)s, replied, “We are not going to allow Mr. Kejriwal to video record the questioning.” The questioning will be video recorded by police, the CM won’t get its copy, he said.
