A Delhi court has dismissed an appeal by a motorcyclist against his three days’ simple imprisonment in a drunken driving case, observing that he was “acting like a human bomb”.

Additional Sessions Judge Lokesh Kumar Sharma made this observation as 100 ml of the convict’s blood sample was found to contain 356.2 mg of alcohol, nearly 11 times the permissible limit. A court had sentenced him to three days’ simple imprisonment and suspended his driving licence for six months. However, the court reduced to two months the period for which his licence will remain suspended.
