Two arrested for snatching

Two snatchers who were trying to finance their respective marriages by monetising items from their last loot were arrested in north-east Delhi, the police said on Saturday.

Identified as Rohit (27), and Alam (21), one stolen motorcycle and four snatched mobile phones was recovered from the duo after being apprehended while they were trying to dispose of them, said Dr. Ajit Kumar Singla, deputy commissioner of police (north-east).

Money for marriage

According to the DCP Rohit was trying to raise ₹15,000 for a registered court marriage. Alam, who is married and has children, wanted to marry his mistress, the DCP said.
