Transport Minister Gopal Rai on Monday said the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government’s proposed odd-even vehicle rationing scheme would entail a four-day registration process for 6,000 private buses that would run under ‘DTC Paryavaran Bus Sewa’ between January 1 and January 15 across the Capital.

Mr. Rai said that these 6,000 buses – which include 2,000 school buses – will ply under the public transporter’s cluster scheme and the government would conduct a trial of the ‘DTC Paryavaran Bus Sewa’ on December 27 before starting the service on January 1.

“Government will begin the four-day registration process, starting from December 17, for such buses,” Mr. Rai said.
