15-year-old gang-raped, six arrested

A 15-year-old girl was allegedly lured and gang-raped by six persons who live in her locality in a park’s guardroom in east Delhi’s Mandawali.

The incident happened on January 8. However, the girl told her ordeal to Lady Hardinge Hospital doctors on Thursday. She is undergoing regular treatment for mental stress. The doctors informed the police and her family, after which a case was registered and the accused were booked under rape and POSCO Act. The police have arrested all the six accused, who had even made the minor consume alcohol forcibly.

According to the police, the girl had gone to the park for a stroll. The six accused, who stay in the same locality, were also in the park. The accused went up to the girl on the pretext of befriending her.

Later, on pretext of showing her the park, they took her to a vacant guard room in the park and took turns to rape her. Before raping her they even forced alcohol down her throat, after which she fell unconscious The girl, a Class IX student, said all the persons forced themselves on her in turns, and also threatened her with dire consequences.
