A 16-year-old girl reportedly committed suicide owing to failure in her examinations.
Selvapuram police said that Sowmiya of NSK Street had failed in SSLC examinations held during April 2011. Hence she had written the supplementary examinations, in which she had again failed in two subjects.
Unable to bear it, she poured kerosene and set herself ablaze. Police have registered a case.
