Sainik School, Amaravatinagar, has planned to set up an advanced library and construct a hostel for junior division boys to enhance the on-campus facilities for its cadets.

Group Captain T. N. Sridhar, the school principal, told The Hindu that the advanced library will be set up in a two-storied building at an outlay of ₹1 crore. The new library will have e-books, facilities for cadets to browse internet and a spacious reading hall.

The school authorities have sought funds from the Centre and State Governments to construct a new hostel for junior division boys (cadets studying from Class VI to IX).

“The existing hostel is 40-years-old and hence we have planned for a new one”, Mr. Sridhar said .

Meanwhile, the newly constructed conference hall was dedicated for the use of cadets recently by Captain G. Rambabu of Indian Navy, Inspecting Officer from Sainik School Society, New Delhi.
