Police dog team bags medals in show

Canines attached to Dog Squad of city police and those undergoing training here bagged 11 medals in the Open Dog Show organised by Anaimalai’s Kennel Club on Sunday. Officials with the dog squad said that the team comprising 11 dogs won five gold medals and six silver medals in total.

The dogs are of breeds such as Labrador, Doberman and Golden Retriever.

The medal winners on Monday paid a visit to City Police Commissioner A. Amalraj at his office along with trainers and sub-inspector A. Soundararajan, officer in charge of the squad.

Raki, a Doberman undergoing training for Tirupur police won two gold and one silver medals.
