Four two-wheelers torched

Four two-wheelers that were parked in a house in Pathigounder Thottam in Ganapathy were found torched on Wednesday morning.

According to the Saravanampatti Police, the incident took place in the house where Ganapathy area secretary of Bharat Sena, V. Manikandan, resided. The burnt vehicles belonged to Manikandan, his father Vembatty, house owner Manikandan and tenant Kaliappan.

Man drowns

R. Sekar, 25, a painter from Kallar Pudur, near Mettupalayam, drowned in Kallar on Tuesday evening.

According to the Mettupalayam Police, while fishing, he accidentally fell into the river and got washed away.

Woman held

Race Course Police have arrested Kanchana alias Roshan Kumari, 28, on charges of pushing women into flesh trade.

Based on a tip-off, the police raided a massage parlour the woman managed, rescued two girls and then arrested the woman. The police sent the girls to the government home.
