The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) employees, affiliated to Minvaria Janatha Thozhilalar Sangam (MJTS), has appealed to the State Government to fill vacancies in Tirupur circle. The demands were in a memorandum submitted to Deputy Chief Minister M. K. Stalin.

MJTS organizing secretary L. James Kennedy told The Hindu here on Tuesday that about 400 vacancies in the ranks of wiremen and commercial assistant had been affecting the functioning of TNEB. “Presently, mazdoors have been entrusted to carryout works, which otherwise, should be done by wiremen, since the entire 320 posts of wiremen are yet to be filled,” he said.
