LAUNCH: The audio release of "Mynaa"

LAUNCH: The audio release of "Mynaa"

The audio of Prabhu Solomon's “Mynaa”, produced by John Max for Shalom Studios and presented by Red Gaint movies and AGS Entertainment, was released recently. Vidarth of koothu-p-pattarai and Anakha play the lead. Prabhu Solomon, whose films include “Kokki”, “Lee” and “Laadam”, says the story revolves around childhood friends Suruli and Mynaa, whose affection changes into something deeper as they grow. How they fall in love, and the problems they face form the rest of the story. The film is shot at Kurungani near Bodinayakanoor, Bodhi, Poomparai, Theni, Munnar and Periyakulam. The music has been scored by D. Imman, and lyrics are by Yugabharathi, except for ‘Neeyum Naanum', written by Eknaath.

All the five songs in the album are hum-worthy. However, the music director could have underplayed the percussion, which has drowned the singers' voices at many instances. The best is the melodious ‘Kaiya Pudi' rendered beautifully by Naresh Iyer and Sadhana Sargam. ‘Mynaa Mynaa' sung by Shaan is another good number. ‘Kichu Kichu Thambulam' sung by baby Harini, Sriranjani, S. Srimathi, G. Aathreya, Lakshman Aravind and Solar Sai is pleasant. Benny Dayal and Shreya Goshal have done a tidy job in ‘Neeyum Naanum', a melody. ‘Jingu Chikka' sung by Solar Sai and Kalpana has a folksy feel.
