Fitness warriors

The IISM offers an job-oriented degree course in fitness and lifestyle modification.

Indian Institute of Sports Medicine (IISM), under the aegis of SPARRC Institute, a fitness promotion and sports medicine centre, has launched a three-year job-oriented Bachelor’s degree course on fitness and lifestyle modification. Participants will have to learn any one of the Indian dance forms in the first year, yoga in the second year and any Indian martial art in the final year.

IISM (affiliated to Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University) will soon be launching a Masters programme in the same subject.
