Warriors take 2-0 lead in NBA Finals

Golden State Warriors are two wins away from being crowned NBA champions again as they took another big step forward with a dominant 110-77 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Draymond Green scored 28 points, Stephen Curry added 18 and Klay Thompson pitched in with 17 as the Warriors produced the largest two-game combined margin of victory to open an NBA Finals.

Spinners, Warner give Australia easy victory over West Indies

Australia showed their intent early in the tri-nation tournament as they stamped their authority over West Indies, who had won the opener against South Africa.

After Nathan Lyon and Adam Zampa had taken three wickets apiece to dismiss the hosts to 116, David Warner scored a run-a-ball 55 to take his side through in just 25.4 overs, giving them a bonus point as well in the process.

Marquez, Herrera score late in Mexico’s 3-1

After Venezuela beat 10-man Jamaica 1-0 in Chicago, the focus shifted to the other Group C encounter between Mexico and Uruguay.

Chile’s national anthem was played in place of that of Uruguay’s, leaving the players in shock. And things turned for the worse, as they conceded an early own goal.

Uruguay captain Diego Godin equalised in the 74th minute and just when it seemed like they’ll have a share of the points, Rafa Marquez and Hector Herrera scored to wrap it up 3-1 in Mexico’s favour.

Belgium beat Norway 3-2 in final warm-up

Substitute Laurent Ciman scored the winner for Belgium in a 3-2 victory over Norway in their final warm-up game before the Euros.

Norway had scored through Joshua King and Veton Berisha after Romelu Lukaku had scored the opener. Eden Hazard equalised for Belgium before Ciman scored his first international goal to complete a come-from-behind victory.

Djokovic sets his sights on Golden Slam

After finally crossing the French Open hurdle at the 12th time of asking, Novak Djokovic has become only the third man, after Don Budge and Rod Laver, to hold all four slams at the same time.

He has, however, set his targets higher, as he now looks to complete a golden slam – win all four slams in the same year and also take the Olympic gold for good measure. Will Djokovic be able to do this? Only time will tell…
