Simona Halep made the most of the mistakes made by Madison Keys to claim her 14th WTA title with a 7-6 (2), 6-3 win in the Rogers Cup final in Montreal. Victory was especially sweet for the Romanian as she had to retire in the final last time around in this tournament, handing the title to Belinda Bencic.
