Furniture and light being major elements of interior design, Wipro's combined launch of its new office furniture and lighting products — at Park Sheraton recently — appeared an effort at providing a comprehensive package for sprucing up offices.
The modular office furniture systems by designer Tim Wallace from London — which has options for privacy and future expansions — caught most eyes. Called Startline, they figure prominently in Wipro's new range, ‘We'.
In addition, Wipro has launched chairs — collectively called ‘Transit' — by Toronto-based designer Conrad Marini. That's not all. The mix consists of the New York designer Eric Chan's furniture.
Wipro Lighting plays the green card to the hilt with two energy-efficient and eco-sustainable lighting ranges — Play and MyLED.
Out to promote LED lighting, the company has created what is called MyLED workstation, which can contribute to green buildings.
The display also underscored Wipro's investment in outdoor lighting solutions, which includes streetlights and floodlights. A streetlight design based on the Orio platform, which won an all-Asia design award for Wipro Lighting, occupied pride of place.
