Having a last-minute Halloween party at your place? Don’t know how to spook up the interiors? No worries. Here is a quick D-I-Y ghost banner.
Materials neededSome thermocol balls (I have used 1.5-inch balls)
Tissue napkins
A pair of scissors
Glue
Needle with a big eye for the wool
Wool
The processTake two sheets of the paper napkin, opened out flat. Place one thermocol ball and cover it in such a way that the ends of the napkin hang down… Secure a bit of wool to the ball, making it look like the head… This is your ghost!
Make as many of these as you like.
Now, take some wool, depending on how long you want your banner to be, and double it for strength.
Needle it and start threading all the ‘ghosts’ together. Keep sliding them along the length of your wool till you have threaded as many ghosts as you want in a banner.
Add some goggly eyes to them. You can add one, two, three… as many as you like, to make your ghosts as scary.
You can even draw a scary mouth and eyebrows with a black sketch pen. Voila! The spooky ghost banner is ready.
You can cut-out ‘Boo’ in black paper and place it at the entrance of your house. Or make a few of them and hang them from fans, the walls… just about anywhere.
Note: These are really small, approximately 4 inches in height. For bigger-sized ones, use bigger thermocol balls, bigger goggly eyes and use white fabric scraps. The rest of the directions remain the same.
Enjoy your little ghosts and have a spooky Halloween!
