L'Occitane can be identified by the warm wood, and light, and a whole array of curiously shaped bottles and tubes that hold a world of fragrances. The most striking feature however, is the lack of a celebrity face with airbrushed skin and the ubiquitous pout, telling you how you are worth it. The ambassador of L'Occitane is Nature herself, in all her blooming glory.
The store is split categorically into Verbena, Lavender, Jasmine, Rose, Cherry Blossom, and several others in a range that includes products for skincare and fragrances. The essences of these flowers are extracted and are used to make these products with their long lasting effects and scents. Every flower has its own Eau De Toilette, Eau De Parfum, shower gel, body lotion and some of them even have scented candles.
The soothing body ice gel, which can be stored in the fridge can be used to cool off in the blistering summer heat. L'Occitane also launches limited edition products from time to time to give their customers something new and exclusive. Even the counter at the store changes every month, with a new limited edition product or offer to keep the customers interested. For Valentines Day L'Occitane is launching Fleur Cherie which translates to “flower darling”.
“Every time we think we can improve or give our customers a better product we will; we don't want to compromise on anything,” says Guillaume Geslin, the country manager of L'Occitane India.
L'Occitane even has a shelf dedicated to men, which has been moving like crazy. “The highest percentage of total sales for men's products is in India,” explains Guillaume.
The Imortelle flower is the main ingredient in the “Imortelle Very Precious cream” which is made from the Imortelle flower which lasts for up to 300 years. L'Occitane also lists out the three trees for a beautiful body — the almond tree, the olive tree and the shea tree. Products from all these trees are available at the store and each product caters to a specific need.
“No other beauty products company in the world can claim to be a French company with high quality products which are all natural,” says Guillaume with confidence. The brand is now going to expand into cosmetics and make up sector. They have launched a limited edition make up range which got good feedback, and it just might become permanent.
