It’s sporty, it’s stylish and it’s in Chennai now. Sunday was a day to cherish for car enthusiasts in the city as the Audi A3, said to be the first compact luxury sedan in the country, drove in.
Boasting ultra-weight technology and high-end multimedia systems, and priced at Rs. 23, 59, 000 (ex-showroom), it means that an Audi is now within the reach of many.
“It’s one of those I’d love to own — it blew me away,” said city racer Aditya Patel, who was present at the launch. “Chennai has a keen interest in such cars and I’m looking forward to seeing a lot of them in namma roads soon.”
Actor Parvathy Omanakuttan, who unveiled the car, said, “I’ve a keen interest in cars and keep track of the latest models that hit the market.”
“People were pleasantly surprised when they heard the price,” said K. Subramanian, CEO, Audi Chennai and Bangalore. That’s because this car, declared the World Car of the Year 2014, also has several features such as 425 litres boot space, Milano leather upholstery and panoramic glass sunroof.
