The audio of Aascar Film's “Velayudham”, produced by V. Ravichandran and directed by M. Raja, was released recently. The film has Vijay playing the lead, along with Genelia and Hansika Motwani. The cast also includes Santhanam and Saranya Mohan. The shooting was held in places including Ladakh, and one song is to be shot in Kashmir. The film's camera is handled by Priyan and it's music is scored by Vijay Antony.

There are six songs in the album. ‘Rathathin Rathamay' is a good piece written by Annamalai and sung by Haricharan and Madhumitha. Another impressive one is ‘Mayam Seidhayo' written by Viveka and sung by Sangeetha Rajeshwaran. The same lyricist has written ‘Molachu Moonu' a nice number sung by Prasanna and Supriya Joshi.

‘Chillax' is a pleasant song sung by Karthik and Charulatha Mani. The music director himself has sung two numbers — ‘Sonna Puriyadhu' written by Siva Shanmugam and sung with Veera Shankar, and ‘Vela Vela' written by Priyan and sung along with Mark.
