Veena fest

Naada Inbam Veena Festival, organised in memory of S.V. Krishnan (SVK), opens today at Raga Sudha Hall, 85/2, Luz Avenue, Mylapore (Ph: 24992672). R.Vedavalli and Cleveland V.V. Sundaram inaugurate the festival at 6.30 p.m. today (February 12). Vidya Shankar’s veena recital follows (7 p.m.).

The programme on February 13 includes S.R. Padmavathi at 4.30 p.m., and Padmavathi Ananthagopalan and Jayanthi Kumaresh at 6.30 p.m. At 6 p.m. on February 14, Kalyani Ganesan will present a concert.

SVK Remembrance Day, to be observed on February 15 (6p.m.), will feature R. Ramani. It will be the turn of T.T. Narendran on February 16 (6 p.m.) and Mudicondan S.N. Ramesh, the following day (Feb.17, 6 p.m.) R.S. Jayalakshmi’s presentation has been scheduled for Feb.20, and S. Srinivasan’s for Feb.21, both at 6 p.m. On Feb.23, 6.15 p.m., YACM takes the stage, while two days (Feb. 27 and 28 -- 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.) have been allotted to P.S.N. Disciples Forum.
