What they say…
Producers T. Navarasan & G. Devarajan: We are in the real estate business. When we met A. Sarana, he told us the story of this film. The film has a message and we liked the way the screenplay runs without any vulgarity. We wanted to produce the film and told the director to go ahead with the shooting.
Hero Chaithanya: I have acted in minor roles in Vallavan and Jaggubhai. I also did the lead in the Tamil serial Alagana Nattkal for Kalaignar TV. In Sokkali, my character Prem is a VJ and rich playboy, who flirts with girls promising them marriage, finally resulting in a girl’s death.
Director A. Sarana: After finishing my direction course from the Chennai Film Institute, I worked for a while, until I got a break with Thullum Kalam . My second film is S okkali, which has come out very well. The film has all the ingredients to make it big at the box office.
Music director S. A. Rajkumar: Director Sarana came to me only after finishing half the shooting for Sokkali. When I listened to the story, I felt it would be different, so I accepted it. I tuned five songs — three trendy and two melodious. I feel the director has done a great job.
