Radha Bhaskar, a versatile musicologist and musician, presented a soul stirring vocal concert at the FGN Hall of the Rasika Ranjana Sabha, Tiruchi, recently, with

Kovai Chandran on the violin and Mudhra Bhaskar on the mridangam. Her recital was part of the monthly 'Eppadi Padinaro' programme jointly organised by R.R. Sabha and Sri Krishna Sweets.

The audience enjoyed the concert through out with rapt attention.

Dr. Radha Bhaskar started briskly with a Papanasam Sivan composition (‘Muladhara Murthy’) in Hamsadhwani, and went on to present the songs composed by Purandaradasar, Gopalakrishna Bharati, Tyagaraja, Papanasam Sivam, Subramania Bharati and Sudha Sivananda in an absorbing manner.

Kovai Chandran gave able support to the musician and there was sukham in his accompaniment. Mudhra Bhaskar, also a musicologist and an editor of the music quarterly Samudhra , was strong in rhythm and his thani was soft and sweet.
