AICTE cancels Srinagar centre for CMAT exam due to floods

All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has cancelled the Srinagar centre for conducting of the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2015-16 due to the floods in Kashmir valley.

“As the situation in Srinagar has not improved after the recent floods, it will not be possible to conduct CMAT exams in Srinagar,” Secretary Higher Education Department Sheikh Mushtaq Ahmad said.

He said students appearing for CMAT exam in Srinagar have been re-allotted other centres.

“The students appearing in the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) — 2015-16 conducted by AICTE, who have opted Jammu as second choice have been allotted new centre at Govt College of and Technology, Chak Bhalwal, Jammu,” the official said.

The AICTE has also informed the candidates through email, SMS and notification on website, he added.
