Sandra Amy in Sivappu Enakku Pidikkum

What it is about…

Youreka Cinema School comes out with Sivappu Enakku Pidikkum , written, produced, directed and acted in by Youreka who has also penned the lyrics. The film, starring Sandra Amy in a pivotal role, has as many as 25 new faces. The music is scored by Siva Saravanan and Anish Yuvani. Sivappu Enakku Pidikkum revolves around a writer determined to put an end to child sexual abuse. He sets out to pen a book and in the course of his journey meets a commercial sex worker who relates her experiences. Will it culminate in a hard-hitting solution to the problem?

Producer, director and hero Youreka: After Madurai Sambavam , I have come up with Sivappu Enakku Pidikkum . Some of the stalwarts of Tamil cinema who watched the film appreciated my work. In spite of handling a subject of this nature, I have not used any shots that are degrading. Thoppi,

Music director Siva Saravanan: I am a drummer. I have scored music for short films, documentaries and devotional albums. I have set to tune two songs in Sivappu Enakku Pidikkum and the rest are by Anish Yuvani. A keyboard player, he has worked with some of the popular names in the industry. He has also done the RR.

Music Highlights: The title track ‘Sivappu Endral” sung by Prabhu is good with Siva Saravanan scoring the music. The other number by the same composer is ‘Control Panna Mudiyalaiye’ sung by Venu Gopal. All the other numbers are by Anish Yuvani — ‘Vaada Kannu’ sung by Otteri Sridhar is interesting, while ‘Sinaiyai,’ which has an attractive tune, makes one ponder about birth. The last on the album is the theme music where the violin predominates.
