Here’s a look at some of the stars that graced the premiere of ‘Sachin: A Billion Dreams’. Many cricketers and Bollywood celebrities attended the premiere in Mumbai on May 24, 2017. The film released in Hindi, English, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu.
Sachin: A Billion Dreams, directed by Emmy-nominated British filmmaker James Erskine, took four years to make and traces Tendulkar's life from aspiring cricketer to arguably the greatest batsman of all time.
It features real footage, including clips from his matches and interviews with colleagues and family and present day stars including Virat Kohli and Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
It uses actors to recreate some scenes from the 44-year-old's childhood in Mumbai.
Tendulkar published his autobiography in 2014 and there isn't much that cricket fans don't know about him.
But James Erskine, who has made several acclaimed sports films, insists the docudrama will reveal new aspects about his life.

Sachin once mentioned to The Hindu. “I didn’t start playing cricket because I wanted to become a star. I started playing cricket because I was passionate about cricket.” A casual MS Dhoni was also seen in Mumbai for the premiere.

“I played cricket because I was passionate about it. The dream was to play for India,” said Sachin. Sachin & Anjali Tendulkar along with Shahrukh Khan during the premiere.

Sachin’s favourite actor? “Obviously Amitabh Bachchan, There are a lot of amazing actors, but I grew up watching Mr. Bachchan.” Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan were also present at the event.

The docudrama Sachin: A Billion Dreams will relive Tendulkar’s innings as a cricketer and will take the viewers up close and personal with the star. Nita Ambani, Mukesh Ambani and Akash Ambani during the premiere.
“We recorded about 10,000 hours of footage,” said Sachin. Arjun and Sara Tendulkar, veteran singer Asha Bhosle arrive at the premiere.
Sachin’s mentor Ramakant Achrekar, actor Sagarika Ghatge and cricketer Zaheer Khan also were seen at the event.
