"It was a human error and humans do make mistakes," Anushka Sharma said, referring to the misspelling Abdul Kalam's name.

Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma, who was under severe criticism after she committed a blunder while paying respects to the former president A.P.J. Abdul Kalam on Twitter, termed it an “honest mistake”.

“It was an honest mistake. My intentions were not bad. It was a human error and humans do make mistakes,” she told media persons at an event in Mumbai.

Anushka got the name wrong twice, tweeting it as “ABJ Abdul Kalam Azad’, and “APJ Abdul Kalam Azad”. She had subsequently deleted the tweet but it couldn’t escape the scrutiny of Twitteratti.
