Taking on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on his home turf in Mysuru, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called upon the people to replace the “Commission-driven Government” of Congress in the State with a mission-driven BJP Government of the BJP.
Addressing a BJP workers rally at Maharaja’s College ground in Mysuru on Monday, Mr Modi said the Siddaramaiah Government was in the thick of corruption with new scams and irregularities emerging “every day”.
Recalling the charge he made during a rally in Bengaluru earlier this month that the Congress Government in the State demands ten per cent commission for all the works, Mr Modi said he had received many calls from people, who said his information was incorrect as the demand for commission was more than ten per cent.
Though the Centre was providing funds to the State Government, the Congress Government in the State was not in a position to utilize the same for developmental projects. “It is not their (Congress leaders) priority. They only want to keep their bosses in Delhi happy by providing them whatever they want. They want to save their seats”.
