SpiceJet will start daily flight service between Mangalore and Hyderabad from September 30, according to M.R. Vasudeva, Director, Mangalore Airport.
In an informal chat with presspersons at the airport on Monday on the sidelines of a conference on Indian aviation and tourism, he said the flight would take off from Hyderabad at 1 p.m. and arrive here at 2.40 p.m. and take off at 3 p.m. to reach Hyderabad at 4.40 p.m.
He said the airliner proposed to start its Mangalore-Chennai service from October 25.

According to the tentative schedule, the flight would arrive here from Chennai at 8 p.m. and return at 8.30 p.m.
Mr. Vasudeva said SpiceJet also proposed to start its service between Mangalore and Bangalore from October 25. It proposed to operate a flight each in the morning and evening.
He said Kingfisher Airlines proposed to re-introduce its afternoon flight between Mangalore and Mumbai from October 25. It suspended this flight sometime ago.
The director said that the Airports Authority India (AAI) would re-invite bids for constructing a building for housing its air traffic service facilities at an estimated cost of Rs. 17.50 crore.
It had cancelled the bids invited earlier as the bidder had quoted high price. The process of re-inviting bids had begun, he said.
Earlier, he addressed a gathering at the old terminal building, the venue of the conference on the developments in the airport.
