Piramal Enterprises’ consumer products division has signed an agreement to acquire four brands from Pfizer for Rs.110 crore.
The brands include Ferradol, a nutritional supplement for children and adults; Neko, a medicated soap; Sloan’s which is muscular pain reliever and Waterbury’s Compound which is used for building immunity against cough and cold.
The agreement also includes the trademark rights for Ferradol and Waterbury’s Compound in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. These brands have been available in India for over 30 years. Completion of the deal is subject to conditions including regulatory approvals, according to a stock exchange filing. In the last six months, the company has made two acquisitions.
