Mercedes-Benz India’s sales of luxury cars and sport utility vehicles rose 16% in 2017 to 15,330 units, the company said in a statement. “Mercedes-Benz retains volume leadership in the luxury segment for the third consecutive year,” it added.
Globally, the firm’s sales grew 10% to 2.29 lakh units. In India, its sedans, SUVs and the AMG range posted double-digit growth.
“We are... satisfied with strong growth in volumes in the C-Class, E-Class and the SUV segments, which remain the mainstay of our portfolio,” said Roland Folger, CEO and MD.
