Uruguay, one of Latin America’s smaller countries, located between Argentina and Brazil, presents a “wonderful, little explored opportunity for Indian businessmen”. While releasing the book, ‘Uruguay-India: report on trade and links’, P. S. Surana, Founder, Surana & Surana International Attorneys, said that assets in Latin American countries were low-priced.

“Now is a good time to buy. Indians can easily and profitably invest in agriculture; produce rice, wheat, pulses and other food items and export them to India to meet India’s ever growing food requirement for its ever growing population and to check the rising prices of food items.”

Mr. Surana released the book by giving a copy to Ivonne Passada, next Speaker of the House of Representatives, 2010-11 and Roque Arregui, Speaker of the House of Representatives March 2009-February 2010 and head of the delegation of parliamentarians from Uruguay.

The book, which is providing key economic indicators, was prepared by Surana & Surana International Attorneys & Ferrere. Ferrere is the largest law firm in Uruguay.
