Ratish Nanda heads the Aga Khan Trust for Culture in India. Following his architectural studies from the TVB School of Habitat Studies, Delhi he has completed an MA in Conservation Studies from the University of York, UK.
AKTC is presently undertaking major conservation projects in Delhi and Hyderabad. For AKTC, he was earlier responsible for the Baghe Babur restoration, a 16th century enclosed garden in Kabul, Afghanistan.
His other completed projects include the Garden Restoration of Humayun’s Tomb and several projects for INTACH, including, Conservation of St James Church, Conservation of ruins adjacent Sultan Garhi, Conservation of unprotected monuments in the Mehrauli Archaeological Park, Delhi Listing published as *Delhi*, the Built Heritage * and released by the Prime Minister of India.
He was on the Eisenhower Fellowship in 2007 and has earlier received the Sanskriti Award for Social and Cultural Achievement, Aga Khan Foundation International Scholarship and the Charles Wallace Conservation Fellowship.
