Sania out of top-100

February 20, 2012 11:59 pm | Updated 11:59 pm IST - New Delhi:

The one-week absence from the Tour has cost Sania Mirza 16 places as she has dropped out of top-100 to find herself at 113 in the singles ranking list.

Sania, who lost in the doubles first round at Doha last week, maintains her seventh rank in that section.

In the ATP Tour, an out-of-action Somdev is now 122, a loss of two places. But a resurgent Yuki Bhambri has risen to a career-best 289 after gaining eight places.

In the doubles list, Leander Paes continues to be India's top-ranked player at No. 7, followed by Rohan Bopanna (11) and Mahesh Bhupathi (15).

The top-10 players will make a direct entry into the Olympics and will have the liberty to choose the partner for the doubles competition.
