Roger Federer takes title

Roger Federer won his second title at the Rotterdam Open seven years after his first as he defeated Juan Martin del Potro 6-1, 6-4 on Sunday.

At California, Milos Raonic put on an impressive serving display with a straight set semifinal win over Ryan Harrison at the San Jose Open, avenging a loss to the American in their only previous contest.

The 21-year-old Canadian moved another step closer to defending his San Jose title by spinning off 20 aces to win 7-6(4), 6-2 at the $531,000 ATP Tour tournament.

He advanced to the final where he will face unseeded Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan, who outlasted France's Julien Benneteau 6-3, 6-7(4), 6-3 in the other semifinal.

At Doha, Victoria Azarenka extended her domination over Australia's Samantha Stosur to win her third successive title of the year on Sunday. The Belarusian World No. 1 beat Stosur 6-1, 6-2 in a one-sided final to extend her unbeaten streak in 2012 to 17.

At San Jose (ATP SAP Open): Semifinals: Milos Raonic bt Ryan Harrison 7-6(4), 6-2; Denis Istomin bt Julien Benneteau 6-3, 6-7(4), 6-3.

At Doha (WTA Qatar Open): Final: Victoria Azarenka bt Samantha Stosur 6-1, 6-2; Semifinals: Azarenka bt Agnieszka Radwanska 6-2, 6-4; Sam Stosur bt Marion Bartoli 6-3, retd.
