Prajnesh, Ramkumar in pre-quarterfinals

Prajnesh Gunneswaran was in fine form as he beat Saketh Myneni 6-2, 6-4 in the second round of the $162,480 Challenger tennis tournament on Tuesday.

Prajnesh converted all three breakpoints and also saved the only breakpoint he faced.

In the pre-quarterfinals, second-seeded Prajnesh will play Adam Pavlasek of the Czech Republic.

Fifth seed Ramkumar Ramanathan also moved into the pre-quarterfinals, defeating Yan Bai of China 6-4, 6-4, after getting a bye in the first round. He will meet Zhang Zhizhen of China.
