Ankita sails into the second round

Prajnesh Gunneswaran outplayed Adrian Menendez-Maceiras of Spain 6-2, 6-4 in the first qualifying round of the ATP-1000 tennis tournament in Miami.

Sasi Kumar Mukund beat Baptiste Crepatte of France 6-2, 6-1 in the first round of the $54,160 Challenger in China. Ankita Raina sailed into the second round of the $25,000 ITF event in Japan, with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Zhang Yuxuan of China.
