ITF Futures from July 30

The Dr. K.C.G. Verghese-GNC ITF Men’s Futures tennis championships will be conducted by the Gandhinagar Club at its premises from July 30 to August 4.

Addressing the press here on Wednesday, Hiten Joshi, CEO, TNTA said that the qualifying rounds will be played on July 28 and 29 and the main draw will commence from July 30. The doubles final is scheduled to be played on August 3 and singles final on August 4.

“Twenty of the 32 singles entries will be direct entries. There will be eight qualifiers and four wildcards,” Joshi said.

India’s Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan, V.M. Ranjeet, Saketh Myneni, Vijay Sundar Prasanth and others will be seen in action. Antoine Escoffier of France and Suk-Young Jeong of Korea also are in the fray.

Hindustan group of institutions and Step foundation are the title sponsors of the event.
