Divij Sharan and Marcelo Demoliner of Brazil were beaten 6-4, 6-2 by Frederik Neilsen and Tim Puetz in the final of the €586,140 ATP Tour event on Sunday.
The effort was worth 150 points and €15,200 for the Indo-Brazilian pair.
In the Challenger in Puerto Vallarta (Mexico), second seeds Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan and Purav Raja lost a close semifinal to the Aussie third seeds, Matt Reid and John-Patrick Smith 10-8 in the super tie-break.
Nagal, Jennifer bow out
In the Savannah Challenger, Sumit Nagal’s run ended in the semifinal when he lost to second seed Paolo Lorenzi. The Italian prevailed 6-4, 4-6, 6-2. Sumit won 29 ATP points and $2,510.
In the ITF women’s event in Antalya, sixth seed Jennifer Luikham was outplayed 6-1, 6-0 in the final by Indy de Vroome of the Netherlands. Jennifer had made the doubles final too, in the company of Ramu Ueda of Japan.
