Bopanna-Divij duo bows out

Asian Games gold medallists Rohan Bopanna and Divij Sharan made an early exit as they were beaten 7-6(5), 6-4 by Dominic Inglot and Austin Krajicek in the pre-quarterfinals of the €711,275 ATP tournament on Tuesday.

In the Ningbo Challenger, China, top seed Prajnesh Gunneswaran sailed into the pre-quarterfinals with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Max Purcell of Australia after getting a bye in the first round.

In the Ismaning Challenger in Germany, sixth seed Ramkumar Ramanathan was beaten 6-3, 7-6(3) by the 305th-ranked Teymuraz Gabashvili of Russia in the second round after a bye in round one.
