China too good for India

Indian aspirations suffered a serious jolt as sixth-seeded China humbled the host 3-0 in the second league match of the Asia-Oceania Junior Davis Cup under-16 tennis tournament at the DLTA Complex here on Tuesday.

With its second defeat in as many matches, India is out of the race for a berth in the knockout.

The results (league): Group-A: Japan bt New Zealand 3-0; Korea bt Kazakhstan 3-0; Group-B: Australia bt Philippines 3-0; Hong Kong bt Indonesia 3-0; Group-C: Uzbekistan bt Malaysia 3-0; Thailand bt Syria3-0; Group-D: Chinese Taipei bt Sri Lanka 3-0; China bt India 3-0.
